Avatar composer James Horner who made the Music works for the first part, got his call for the second version release. But his death in a plane crash pushed the Avatar Team to hire another Music Director. The Musical Score for Avatar: The Way of Water is composed by Music Director Simon Franglen. James Horner’s BGM will be available for the second part, but it would be re-used along with the Simon Franglen work.
Production
In 2006, Cameron stated in an interview that he would take the Second Part of the Avatar again if the first sequel became a massive hit globally. It happened, and he was set to release Part 2 in 2015. in April 2016, James Cameron decided to take four Avatar Sequels, and it got planned to shoot simultaneously. Lightstorm Entertainment and TSG Entertainment decided to produce all four Sequels. James Cameron and Jon Landau invested money in the Making. As it’s a four sequel part, Movie Production Control Unit is planning to spend $250 Million for each part. Avatar: The Way of Water kick-started the shooting in California in August 2017. Due to covid-19 pandemic problems, the film is rescheduled once every three months. In September 2020, James Cameron officially announced that live-action filming had been completed, and Part-3 works are almost over, along with Part-2.
