Production
The production company and director officially announced in May 2018 the plan to release the Shamshera Film starring Ranbir Kapoor in the Male Lead Role. Later, Movie Team announced Sanjay Dutt was signed to do the antagonist role for this Film. And Vaani Kapoor was appointed for the Female Lead Role. As Vaani Kapoor is a dancer in this Film, she’s undergone special training in Kathak before the filmmakers started making her Movie Scenes. Anay Goswamy joined the crew to do the Cinematography works for the Film. Yash Raj Films released the Movie under their banners. Aditya Kapoor invested money in Film Making. The first shooting set started in early December 2018 and wrapped up the works by September 2022. As the team needed to build a massive fort, they were in the requirement for 300 workers, and the creators spent a budget of 80 crores to make Shamshera Film.
